My name is Zulfina, and together with my husband Dale, we’ve dedicated our lives to working with horses. Dale has over 60 years of experience in the horse world—starting from a young age breaking and shoeing horses, and riding ponies in shows. For the past 30 years, he has been focused on raising and breeding warmbloods, with a passion for developing strong, athletic, and kind-natured bloodlines.
I was born in Russia and grew up surrounded by farming and livestock. That upbringing gave me a deep understanding of animal care, and a love for working with horses. Over the years, I’ve learned many different disciplines, and I always approach each horse with patience, respect, and compassion. There’s something truly special about building trust with these animals and watching them grow.
Dale and I started our breeding journey at Meadow Green Stables, just east of Red Deer, Alberta with 156 acres. After many years there, we made the decision to scale back and enjoy a more relaxed, semi-retired lifestyle. We’ve now been living near beautiful Bowden Lake for the past three years, with 40 acres for the horses to roam and grow where we continue to breed our warmblood foals on a smaller, more focused scale.
Our current property is more manageable and allows us to spend quality time with each horse—putting greater attention into the bloodlines we care most about. Even as we slow down a little, our love for the work hasn’t changed. Breeding, raising, and caring for these horses is more than just what we do—it’s who we are.
